Inner Circle

We all have times when others will see our worst. Living in a world where rules are made to be broken and the people closest to you, including yourself, are bound to make mistakes, is not always the easiest. The people we choose to let in make or break the way we view the world. Love gives us a way to trust, make mistakes, and experience an important part of life. I want to share a bit more in-depth about this feeling, or this certain group of people, my inner circle.

I’d like to think there are, “layers” to the inner circle, each layer corresponding to a different type of relationship we are lucky to have. Whether it be through family or friendships, we build connections through one another with our minds and beliefs. First impressions may impact who we meet and interact with because sometimes we use bias to make big decisions like meeting a new friend or opening up to a peer.

The first layer of my inner circle and one of the bigger parts of my personal life is the friends that I’ve had the opportunity to meet. Whether it be from work or school, I’ve run into so much luck with meeting others that I get to bond with by playing music or binge-watching a favorite TV show. My best friends include Jill, Isa, Cito, Summer, Kitty, and the list goes on. Each friendship I’ve formed has stemmed from something even more beautiful, and each memory is held close to my heart. Friendship teaches us how to trust, love, and hurt sometimes too.

The next part of my inner circle is family. Family has always been a vital part of my life, especially when I was younger. I learned a lot from my older brothers when I was little, and I felt really loved when we all got along together. I love and live by family, and I am so thankful for every parent figure I have been blessed with. First, it wouldn’t be an inner circle without my mom in the warm center of it. My mom is my strength and instilled morals into my youth, I would be nowhere without her. My grandparents, theater parents, and Aunt Meg are all individuals I look up to. Even though our parents and parental figures seem so wise, it is also important to know that it is their first time learning life too, and sometimes they make mistakes.

What makes our lives complete and rewarding comes from the people we choose to put in it. You have control of who you love, who you trust, and who you care for. It is necessary to focus energy on positive people who love and support you. Remember, there is so much more time to meet others and expand your inner circle.

With so much latte love,

Jill <3 ☕️
