Beauty Thread

Published on 17 May 2024 at 13:47

For the last couple of weeks I have been preparing to finish the 2023-24 school year, my junior year. I've learned a lot about myself over the course of the year. It's easy to get caught up in the moment, to become lost and hurt over silly little things that someday may not mean a lot. To bring another school year to a close and the start of a new beginning for coffee talk, I made a beauty thread, to remind myself that I love the little things that come to my life. I am absolutely thrilled for summer because I can be super active with posts on CT! I hope you enjoy the following poems, they are about extremely important people and things in my life. ❤️☕️

Goddess

olive skin and eyes of a crystal

lying in a champagne swimming pool

chocolate sweet hair and lashes of luxury

strolling down the perfect, rough street

a princess full of flair, so blissful

standing next to someone so perfect, so cruel

a gem in this unfair world, shiny as jewelry

without her i am incomplete

legs of a model

and the prettiest of laughs

i have so much love

for my second half

8 / -

the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen

a reborn aphrodite, full of love and looks

her beauty is incomparable, nothing in between

a girl that comes straight from a book

eyes so dark they pierce my soul

her affection blooms like a flower

i think I’ve fallen down a rabbit hole

lost between spring showers

i can’t fathom to lose a friend like her

she’s all I ever needed

my life before her is a blur

a puzzle piece that made me completed

Hibiscus

a warmed toned love

with sparks and specs of gold

peaceful home for the doves

what exactly do you behold?

plucked and prodded for eternity

never something to stay

beauty with much complexity

stuck in sorrow, so betrayed

lost in the summer breeze

used and thrown to the naked earth

her aroma is just to please

someday the hibiscus will know its worth

fly

wings rest like a fantasy

between the clouds and the stars

a profound creature, in all of the galaxy

the secret of the earth, healing all scars

a sleepless life, full of grace and adventure

colors of the ocean and the land

the earth’s ultimate defender

every moment is planned

knowing all of the secrets of the universe

a little girl cups a pretty butterfly in her hand

it’s beauty is too much to reverse

sent off to protect all of the land
